Award Programs
The National Housing Endowment and NAHB work
diligently to honor the work of our local home builders associations
and our builder members through programs that recognize community
service at the local level.
The
National Housing Endowment/Home
Builders Care Project of the Year Award
honors an association or council each year that epitomizes the
commitment of home builders across the country to making a
difference in their local communities through outreach efforts and
charitable work. The annual program recognizes an outstanding
community service project developed and implemented by a local or
state home builder association (HBA) or council affiliated with
NAHB. Winners receive a $5,000 donation directed to the charity of
their choice and are recognized at the annual International
Builders’ Show. Click here to learn about
past winners.
The
National Housing Endowment Builder Achievement Award
for Outstanding Community Service
was established in 2005 to honor builder and
remodeler members of the National Association of Home Builders for
their exceptional philanthropic endeavors. Made possible through a
generous donation by Isaac and Sheila Heimbinder, this award
provides eight winners recognition for their work and contributions
directed to the charity of their choice ranging in amounts from
$1,000 to $10,000. Click here to learn about
